Axis Helps Miami connects Miami-Dade County small business owners and residents to the economic resources our community needs to weather storms and emerge with stability and strength.

Axis Helps connects local small business owners to the opportunities, experts, networks, and services most relevant to them based on their needs, goals, and where they are in their entrepreneurship journey.

Axis Helps has maintained a specific focus on minority and women-owned businesses that are historically under-resourced and hardest to reach, while reaching out to all Miami-based small businesses.

HOUSING AUTHORITIES

The various housing authorities within Miami-Dade County have waiting lists and inventories of affordable housing. Visit their respective websites for details.

LEGAL SERVICES OF GREATER MIAMI

Legal Services of Greater Miami (LSGMI) provides legal assistance and lists quick information/facts regarding issues for renters; financial assistance; consumer debt; information for parents; information for small businesses; and other resources.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING TOOLS

Our partners are also working on some excellent tools to support affordable housing policy in Miami-Dade County.

University of Miami Office of Civic & Community Engagement

UM hosts a Housing Solutions Lab, a suite of affordable housing policy tools in Miami-Dade County. This includes the Miami Affordability Project (MAP) and Land Access for Neighborhood Development (LAND).

Shimberg Center for Housing Studies at the University of Florida

The Shimberg Center for Housing Studies was established at the University of Florida in 1988 to promote safe, decent, affordable housing and related community development throughout Florida.

Florida International University Metropolitan Center

The FIU Metropolitan Center provides needs assessments, training and organizational development, and economic and housing market analysis.

Community Justice Project

CJP highlights various data dashboards and materials on how policies impact Miami-Dade residents. 

Miami Workers Center

MWC hosts tenant and community meetings to discuss housing and homelessness issues.
