Launched in 2023, Housing 305 was created to advance access to affordable housing in Miami-Dade County and streamline the process by which households connect to the resources they need. Recognizing the complexity of the housing landscape, we designed the program to be multi-pronged - combining coordination, direct services, and leadership development.

Powered by the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, The Children’s Trust, Simply Healthcare, and Citi Foundation, Housing 305 manages:

A centralized affordable housing database.

We consolidate information on available affordable rental units, including a listserv of landlords and property managers. This tool is shared with housing and service providers so they can quickly help residents identify housing opportunities.

A streamlined housing navigation and care coordination system.

We’ve created an efficient system that pairs households with trained navigators and service providers who provide individualized support services, from identifying units to completing applications and coordinating with landlords and service providers.

A two-pronged training program to ensure permanent housing.

We’re providing training and education to service providers and landlords to implement housing best practices - this includes housing negotiations, database support, and youth engagement best practices.

In 2024, Housing 305 expanded its reach to serve senior and single adults, recognizing that these groups face growing housing instability. Ensuring that youth and families can transition quickly from shelters to permanent housing with support systems in place to maintain stability. Since its inception, we managed to expedite the exit process from shelter to permanent housing for youth and families from 90 days to 45 days.

Together, these efforts make Housing 305 a critical driver of Miami Homes For All’s mission: ensuring that everyone in Miami-Dade County has a safe, affordable place to call home.
